On December 18th, the world's largest styrene plant built by the company held Interim Handover ceremony at the Dalian Hengli Petrochemical Project Department. Mr. Hu Tiansheng, deputy general manager of Hengli Petrochemical, Mr. Ge Zi, director of Wanwei compnay, and management personnel of the construction company participated in the ceremony.

720,000 t/a Dalian Hengli's styrene plant project has completed the installation work as follows: a total set of 236 equipment, 350,000-inch process pipes, 6,000 tons of steel structure, 2 compressors, and 1 steam superheating furnace. The construction started on October 1^st, 2018, and was handed over in on December 18^th, 2019, which lasted 443 days.

The interim handover of plant provided the prerequisites for the full start-up of the entire styrene plant of Dalian Hengli Petrochemical Co., Ltd; which laid the foundation for the full commissioning and future production capacity reaching the standard. At the same time, the completion of the project will greatly reduce China ’s dependence on the import of high-end chemical raw materials such as ethylene glycol and polyolefins, and also can reduce the amount of styrene imports.
